If you follow me on social media, particularly Instagram, you’ll see that my Polyvore board creation has turned into a slight addiction. Couple that with a secret love for all things interior design and, low and behold, it has spilled over onto Lipstick and Loathing. That’s where BoConcept comes in. Have you looked at their site? Or better still, have you visited the Glasgow store on Sauchiehall Street – the only one in Scotland? Well, if you haven’t it’s time to take a peek. In the meantime, have a glance through my wishlist… For more information on any of my chosen pieces, just click on the pictures.
LIVING ROOM LOVE
A living room should be comfortable, cosy and a place you want to spend time in. Of course we all want it to look good too. If in doubt, BoConcept offer an interior design service… I wonder if they’re hiring (yes, I’m kidding. Polyvore don’t issue degrees in interior design!) I do love grey and yellow, a combination I’ve gone for in my own living room. So this set-up reflects my style perfectly.
HOME OFFICE PERFECTION
When adding a home office, it’s important that it’s clean cut but comfortable. Creating a bright atmosphere will make it more inviting and you’ll be less likely to sit in front of the TV with a laptop positioned questionably on your knee. I don’t have a home office, or a place for a nice desk and chair so this part of the wish list is lots of fun!
IT’S ALL IN THE DETAIL
I am a fan of using accent pieces to add detail and colour to any room. I’d much rather buy plain, simple furniture and jazz it up with cool artwork and amazing rugs. These things are easy to change and that makes it more affordable than restyling an entire room. Plus by changing small things, it can make a big difference. BoConcept’s accessories range is pretty cool, you have to agree. There is something to suit most tastes and you just know that including any of these pieces in your house will have your visitors looking around in awe.
So there you have it, my first, and not my last, interiors post. It has certainly sparked a few ideas for future posts and I have really enjoyed putting this wish list together. Until next time…
