Part 2 in my Christmas gift ideas series sees me moving on to fashion. Again, I will show ideas for both him and her and for all budgets. I am including clothing and accessories into this post as not everyone feels comfortable buying clothes for someone else. I know I certainly don’t! Hope this gives you some ideas…
Easy one for me! Anyone who knows me, knows I love Vivienne Westwood! These two little beauties are the Divina Bag (6120) which is available in a gorgeous bright pink or black. This particular shape of ‘bowler’ style bag from Vivienne is a classic and just screams quality. I love that it is not over branded and is a staple for any woman’s wardrobe. Made with quality and suitable for a day in the office or a night on the tiles, this bag is the perfect all rounder!
The Divina Bag (6120) is available at Vivienne Westwood for £250.00
Fur gilets have made a bit of a comeback this winter and are great for layering up. I like the long ones in the natural colour like the one above. This one is made of faux fur and has hidden fasteners at the front. Fantastic for a trip to the shopping centre when a coat is too warm but a jumper isn’t enough and will last through until the spring time. I think this is a nice versatile piece of clothing for any age range as it can be incorporated into a variety of outfits.
This gilet is available for the ever dependable ASOS for £60.00
I recently bought this dress and I love it! It is a fantastic fit, very flattering and would suit most body shapes. Not only that but it is the type of dress that could be worn to the office with tights, smart shoes and a blazer or to a girls’ lunch with tights and a pair of ankle boots. It’s true to size and very comfortable. Not too short either! Might even pair up nicely with a fur gilet 😉
This jacquard dress is available from Zara and is priced at £35.99
Now it’s the turn of the boys…
So… since I gave two colour options on the first idea for the ladies, thought I’d do the same for the men! This watch is actually also available in all black but is more expensive. Plus I really like the idea of the coloured strap! It’s a very masculine watch and is stainless steel with a leather strap. Some people may be of the opinion that a watch at Christmas is a safe bet but I personally think if you’re buying something like the Brompton Gun Dial Chronograph Watch with a colour strap, then it makes it a bit more fun and a bit more thoughtful.
This is available from Links of London priced at £395.00
A fantastic staple for any wardrobe is a good denim shirt. This is a great gift for men who like to wear chinos and shirts or maybe they just like denim on denim?! Levi’s is a trustworthy, quality brand and their clothing always lasts. Perfect for anyone who likes to dress casual all the time or who wears formal shirts all week and wants something a bit more laid back for the weekend or evening. Great for layering up to over the winter months.
This classic denim shirt is available from House of Fraser and is currently priced at £64.00 (usually £80.00)
Underwear for men at Christmas is always a safe bet. Nobody can have too many briefs! When buying underwear as a gift though I always prefer to make sure it’s good quality…and gift boxed! This set includes 2 pairs of Calvin Klein boxers, one red, one red stripes. This of course very much depends on what style of boxers the man you are buying this for likes, but these have an elasticated waist to make them comfortable. Fun, bight coloured pants for a man who perhaps wears a uniform or suit everyday…
This gift set is available from Debenhams and is currently prices at £25.90 instead of £37.00.
