It’s the 1st of December and everyone is now in full Christmas swing, putting up trees, buying mince pies and mulled wine… But what do you get for friends, family or the other half to open on Christmas morning? Well, I’ve put together some gift ideas to suit different budgets for both him and her. I plan on doing a series of these posts over the next few days for different gift categories.
First up, beauty gifts. I’ve added 3 options to fit different budgets.
This one for me is an expensive gift but anyone who has ever used Elemis knows that this is a fantastic brand that always delivers. This gorgeous gift set includes the cellular recovery bliss capsules to be used morning and evening. They give the skin a real treat. I used them in the run up to my wedding and I loved them. There’s also the pro collagen advanced eye treatment, the famous cleansing balm, pro collagen marine cream, super serum and the quartz lift mask. I love the Elemis cleansing balm and pro collagen marine cream. This is a great gift for someone who loves Elemis or want to start a new skin care routine and doesn’t quite know where to start.
This set is available from QVC and is priced at £193.02
A good mid range priced gift is the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush. This is a fantastic gift for any age and is suitable for all skin types as it gives a gentle but nice, deep clean. It is designed to be used with your existing cleanser and reportedly makes it more effective by getting into all the contours of the face, lifting away the dirt more effectively than hand washing. It will also lift away make up and sunscreen residue.
This is available from feel unique for £79.00
A more pocket friendly gift, which may be suitable for a friend is the Nails Inc Autumn Winter collection. This little set contains 3 x 14ml nail varnishes in Uptown (dirty pink) Grosvenor Crescent (dark aubergine) and Battersea Park (khaki). A great variety of colours for day or evening and the perfect gift for anyone who likes to have their nails looking good all year round with the season’s statement shades.
Available from feel unique for £29.00
Next up it’s the boys’ turn. Men are spending more on skincare products. So if you have a Dad, Brother, boyfriend or husband that likes to look after their appearance; here are 3 different budget options:
First up is the higher budget option which is the Deep Pore Decongesting Mia 2 kit from Clarisonic. This contains the Clarisonic Mia 2 brush as well as the deep pore daily cleanser and the deep pore decongesting clay mask. The brush will exfoliate the skin thus reducing ingrown hairs making shaving smoother and easier. The cleanser also contains soothing peppermint and calming aloe and chamomile which help with redness. This product would suit anyone with congested skin or anyone who suffers from blemishes or dry patches.
This set is available from SpaceNK and is priced at £140.00
This gift is something that I think that quite a lot of men ask for at Christmas. A shaver. This particular shaver is the Braun Waterflex Wet & Dry. It can be used in the shower, with foam, for convenience and ease and also has a unique contour adaptive swivel head for extra comfort. The reason I picked this one is because it can be used both wet and dry and because out of all the research I done, this one got great reviews! Perfect for any man who needs to shave everyday but wants to do it quickly and effectively.
This shaver is currently available at the special price of £79.99 (should be £159.99) from Boots
The last gift for the boys is the Baylis & Harding citrus, lime and mint large gift box. I think this one looks really cool and would suit a friend or could be used as an add on gift or even as a Secret Santa! It contains a big and a small hair and body wash, shower gel, aftershave balm and face wash It’s a great value gift which looks more expensive than it is! I really like the Baylis & Harding scents too.
This little set is available at Tesco for the bargain price of £15.00!
Tomorrow I’ll post some fashion ideas to suit all budgets…
