Anyone who follows my Twitter or Facebook page will have seen that some new treats for my makeup bag arrived at my door this morning. I took advantage of an offer on Feel Unique and ordered the Naked Basics palette and a Clinique Chubby Stick baby tint in “poppin’ poppy”. I also got a couple of freebies, which I’ll talk more about later. I wanted to a new eye shadow palette that I could use for everyday wear but that is versatile enough that it can be used along with my existing eye shadows if I wanted to change things up for evening time.
This gorgeous little palette is exactly what I was after! I don’t wear a lot of make up during the day so this is perfect for that ‘barely there’ look I like. There’s 6 different colours with a mix of both satins and mattes. It is possible to create a whole look with this. Crave (which is the black colour) can be used as a liner and is perfect for a more smoky look. The other 5; Venus, Foxy, Walk of Shame, Naked 2 and Faint, go from a very pale skin tone right through to an almost purple/brown to pure brown. They are all beautiful! I’d recommend this palette to anyone as a stand alone product or as an add on to an existing collection. I’m very happy with this. I put it on this morning and it has lasted all day! It went on beautifully and was really easy to blend. It’s a definite ‘must have’ for every makeup bag.
The Clinique chubby stick baby tint range is fantastic. I have a couple of chubby sticks but this is the first baby tint one I have bought. Not only is it like a massive splash of moisture for your lips, it brings out your own natural tone meaning that it looks different on everyone. This colour actually makes my lips look quite dark which you wouldn’t expect looking at it and it feels amazing!
I think at this time of year when the weather is a cold (perhaps an understatement!) and our lips start to become sore and chapped, this is a perfect solution. This is something I suffer from every winter! Many people buy tinted lip balms which come off so easily but this stays on and gives a nice, natural colour. Again, I love this and I am very happy with it. A great buy to have in your hand bag and because of it being like a fat pencil, you don’t really need a mirror to put it on. Anything that requires minimal effort and little reapplication always gets my vote!
I also mentioned earlier that I got a couple of free gifts with my order. One of them was Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Overnight Detox Oil. This oil claims to plump up and detoxify skin overnight. I’m going to give this a go tonight and tomorrow I shall let you know how I get on…
In the meantime, please feel free to share the blog with anyone you think may be interested and, as always, leave any comments below.
