Debenhams Spring Summer 2015

Last night I was invited to the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow’s Royal Exchange Square for the Debenhams Spring Summer 2015 beauty and fashion launch. The GoMA is an amazing building and was the perfect fit for this beautiful event!

This was my first press event and I had no idea what to expect. I was very excited but also quite nervous. I had my name taken at the front door, I had a lovely glass of bubbly and I threw myself into the plethora of clothes hanging in front of me. It was like heaven! The beauty area at the opposite side of the runway was a hive of activity and I managed a quick look but I spent the majority of my time oohing and aahing over the gorgeous clobber!

I wandered around and met a few fellow bloggers before taking a seat on the front row for the fashion show. I was treated to a show featuring Star by Julien Macdonald, Principles by Ben Di Lisi, Jenny Packham and John Rocha to name a few. Spring Summer 15 is all about khaki with some gorgeous safari style pieces for everyday wear and the beach. If you are a fan of colour, fear not. H by Henry Holland shows that yellow is the colour to be seen in with this outfit.

Bold, floral prints are a summer wardrobe staple. I love this shirt style dress by Jasper Conran and this floral blazer by /Edition is a very stylish option for the cooler evenings.

Corals and mints are also in, which I love as they are such fun colours. They look great against black for evening and compliment sunkissed skin beautifully. I love this top and trousers from Principles by Ben Di Lisi. Teamed up with a chunky necklace and a dainty clutch bag, it’s a perfect outfit for summer evening drinks.

With the hope of better weather just around the corner and summer holidays looming, I dreamt of wearing the gorgeous swimwear coming down the runway on a sunny beach! Bright colours, floral prints and khaki are bang on trend.

I loved the Skinny Dip London bright clutch bags. Accessories are bright and bold with a slice of watermelon to keep your lippie in!

After the runway show I had another look around before leaving only to stop to collect my amazing gift bag full of some amazing beauty products and yummy chocolates.

All in all I had a fantastic evening and I’m looking forward to updating my wardrobe with some of these gorgeous clothes! Bring on Summer!

Thanks to Eve Robertson and Laura Duncan at Debenhams PR for my invitation.
