I have a pretty good beauty routine and like to think that I am ok at taking care of my skin and hair. It’s something that I’ve known is important from a young age. My Mum has always been sure of that!
Now and again I like to change things up and try different products. So I thought I would share what is on my beauty wish list for the month of May.
Firstly I love face masks. I like to use a face mask a couple of times a week to make sure I can keep my skin as clean and fresh as it can be. I’ve heard lots of good things about this Emma Hardie Instant Radiance Mask. It can be used as an overnight treatment and leaves skin looking luminous, plump and fresh. The exfoliator which accompanies it can also be used as a mask or to leave skin brighter and relieve congestion. I also love the Emma Hardie packaging. It just screams luxury and that is why this is on my May wishlist! (£36.00)
I’m going through a slight lipstick obsession at the moment. I recently bought a Rimmel London lip pencil in a nude colour and I love it but feel it leaves my lips a bit dry. I like lip pencils as I find them easier to apply, I like that they are easy to build on and they tend to last a bit longer. Nudestix are a Canadian brand which can be bought from Space:NK here in the UK. They create gorgeous makeup crayons for eyes, cheeks and lips. All the colours are muted and nude, as the name suggests. I am particularly attracted to the lip crayon in the colour sin. The crayons claim to be creamy and soft on the lips. They even come with a built in sharpener on the lid. (£24.00)
When lips are looking good, teeth need to be too. I have been seeing Cocowhite everywhere at the moment and everything I have seen has been positive. Oil pulling is an ancient tradition and is said to essentially grab onto the bacteria and plaque on the teeth and pull it away leaving teeth clean and white, and breath fresher. I have read a few reviews on these little wonders and some claim to have seen a difference after their first use. After going through the pain of braces to straighten my teeth for my wedding last year, I want to keep my teeth looking good. (£19.99 for 14 sachets)
When it comes to my hair, I get annoyed as I always want it to be thicker and have more volume. Instead I just work with what I’ve got. I’m bad at forgetting to use a heat protector on my hair and as a result, it can get quite dry and split at the ends. When I seen this Liz Earle Nourishing Hair Oil, I added it to my wish list right away. Not only can this be used on dry hair, it can also be used on damp hair to speed up drying time and protect against heat. This is exactly what I need! I am a huge fan of Liz Earle products and use the Cleanse and Polish facewash everyday. This hair oil is a must buy for me this month! (£17.25)
